- I'm a researcher, writer, and teacher. I work at the Center for the Study of Religion and American Culture and am a Visiting Professor at IUPUI. While I was sleeping--or maybe drinking--some academics made me Executive Officer of the Society for the Scientific Study of Religion. I'm the author of 4 books and many magazine and journal articles. If that bores you, I'm also 15-time knife and tomahawk throwing champion in the National Muzzle Loading Rifle Association.
